What is the outcome from the apprenticeship (qualification and skills gained)?

Upon completion, apprentices will have a Level 3 Diploma in Transport Planning and professional recognition from the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) and the Transport Planning Society (TPS). You'll acquire skills in data analysis, transport modeling, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with regulations. Additionally, you'll develop professional and ethical behaviors essential for the transport planning sector.

How is learning undertaken?

The apprenticeship spans 36 months, combining on-the-job training with academic learning. Apprentices will engage in data collection, analysis, and evaluation, and will apply their knowledge to real-world transport planning projects.
